When you look after your skin, you are looking after yourself

From time to time when I consult with a client and I have made my recommendation on how to best care for their skin, they tell me that they just don't have the time. They are too busy looking after the family, working, running around.

There is an old saying, to love others, first you must love yourself. By extension, I argue, in order to have the enthusiasm, the drive and the energy to look after others, first you need to look after yourself. Your family love you and not only want, but NEED to see you happy. They feel most secure when you are at your best because they feel they are in the best of hands.

exercise for a healthy skin
Psychologically, feeling good about yourself makes a big impact on your outlook on life. When you are feeling your best, you perform your best. Eating healthy, exercising regularly to stay fit and taking the time out for recreational activities will give you a much needed break you need to replenish your energies. Looking after your mind and spirit with regular meditation and other relaxing activities plays a huge part in reducing  stress and rejuvenating your spirit.

Looking after your skin every day is a little self-love ritual you deserve. Right after you brush your teeth, cleanse, tone, moisturize and protect with sunscreen. Cleansing is just basic hygiene and good moisturizers will provide essential nutrients your skin needs to look it's best.

Our skin is reflection of our health - physical, dietary and psychological, so by looking after your skin, you are looking after yourself. It may be just the boost you need to get you through the day.
